Selma is spending her vacation with her grandparents on an island. Here, she doesn't have to worry about not having a friend. She tries to pretend she doesn't hear the bird inside her, pecking at her heart, repeating over and over that Selma will never make friends. Everything changes when Selma meets Shoelace, a cheeky and confident girl who's also on vacation on the island. The bird pecking at Selma's heart slowly begins to lose its nerve.
The book received the August Award in 2013, the most important Swedish award for a children's book.

The customer has the right to return the purchased goods within 14 days from the date of receipt of the order, without having to provide a reason for withdrawing from the purchase contract.
